In my opinion, being able to connect your laptop to the internet using your cell phone is the best thing about the WOW Mobile Phone Plan.  Well, that and the fact that you and I can make a lot of money telling other people about it.

Using your cellphone to connect your laptop or desktop to the internet is called “tethering”.  The WOW Mobile Phone comes with an application (app) for this.  You can use this to connect your laptop or desktop to the internet.  Actually, you can connect both of them at the same time.  You can connect even more than just your 2 computers.  I have seen some tethering demonstrations with 5 computers hooked up at the same time.  Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that you can also be talking on the phone while tethering your computers.

This was one of the main reasons I wanted to get a WOW Mobile Phone.  I run a couple of different businesses.  I like setting up at tradeshows, local business meetings and even the flea market every now and then.  I was thinking about getting an aircard so I could use my laptop if the place I was at didn’t offer free wi-fi, and many of them don’t.  I couldn’t find a “pay as you go” aircard and I didn’t want to pay for a monthly subscription when I would only use the card a couple of days a month, and some months not at all.  I don’t even want to get into the problem with data transfer limits and overage charges.  With the WOW Mobile Phone Plan I don’t have to worry about any of that.
